burns village & farm
Burns Village & Farm is a planned cohousing agrihood community located about 30 minutes west of Nashville, Tennessee. The project brings together approximately 36 privately owned homes within 17 acres of protected farmland and woodland, centered around a professionally managed working farm. Designed to foster strong social connections and sustainable living, the development combines private residences with shared amenities such as a common house, green spaces, and community facilities. Residents actively participate in shaping the neighborhood through a collaborative, consensus-based design process, creating a multigenerational community rooted in environmental stewardship, local food production, and shared social life.
We assisted architect Jack Wilbern, from BWD Architects, during the site workshop phase, contributing to the early design and planning of this community-focused development.
