Good Samaritan Inn project
This continuum of care project upholds the right of all citizens to dignified housing through the development of 27 transitional dwellings and two manager apartments. The project includes a Community House with social and learning spaces, as well as administrative offices. Adjacent to the tiny house village, a donation distribution center provides material support to people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
We drove innovative affordability by re-imagining the project and budget—transforming the owner’s early mid-rise motel concept into a tiny house village. The result is a human-centered design focused on community connection, social support, and safety. The village concept also better integrates with the non-profit fundraising process by supporting phased development and adaptable sequencing.
